Through various initiatives like agroecological gardening and livestock development, CSALRD has significantly improved livelihoods in the Amathole District. We are dedicated to fostering food security and empowering marginalized groups while preserving indigenous knowledge for future generations.

Founded in Rabula, Eastern Cape, CSALRD began as a vision to empower rural communities through sustainable practices. Using a repurposed school as our base, we have expanded our impact to 14 villages, fostering connections between individuals, land, and local economies.
